Many exhibitors have already informed the Reed Exhibitions Iberia organising team of their satisfaction with the quality of visitors to the 117 stands. Professionals from the visual communication industry were attracted by the large selection of products and services, as well as an extensive programme of associated activities, which included courses, seminars, workshops, conferences and exhibitions.

ViscomSign Spain 2010 received a total of 7,541 unique visits and was once again the must-attend professional event for the sector's specialists. Between October 14 and 16, visual communication professionals who attended the 23rd edition of the event organised by Reed Exhibitions Iberia were able to learn about a wide range of products and services displayed at 117 stands in a gross area of 11,055 m2 (net m2 occupied half this space) in pavilion 8 at Feria de Madrid (Ifema).

The team responsible for organising the event—headed by Sergio Paradís as the show director—has been congratulated by many of the exhibitors in attendance, with this edition topping even its own profit forecasts. The participating companies especially stressed the quality of the professionals who visited their stands, demonstrating significant decision-making power for purchases at their respective companies. An improved credit situation will make it possible to finalise many of these transactions.

New commitment to going green

The sector's top event in Spain and Portugal attracted a wide variety of visitors, including professionals from both technical/industrial and creative/artistic areas. Bringing together specialists from such varied fields made it possible to achieve a number of synergies among the four exhibition areas: Viscom, Design&Innovation, DigitalSignage and InDigital. In addition, the Green Route was the major new feature for 2010, including stands which registered to present their eco-friendly products, materials and technologies.

The other main attraction for visitors was the extensive and varied programme of associated activities, which included courses, seminars, workshops, conferences and exhibitions. Among the eagerly anticipated activities at ViscomSign Spain 2010 were the Creatividad 361º lecture series and the fifth Trade Marketing and Digital Signage Forum. In addition, for the second time, the show also hosted the DISI Awards presentation (for Digital Signage), the 11th edition of the Letra Roland Awards, the official Anuaria Awards ceremony and the 9th Rotulación Awards, presented by Aserluz (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Association of Electric Sign Businesses and Related Industries).

Something for every visitor

ViscomSign Spain 2010 also featured the winners of the Laus10 Awards and the 25th Latin American Advertising Festival's El Sol Award, as well as the winners of the 13th Best Pack Awards and the 18th Lux Professional Photography Awards. Other attractions included the ongoing SelfPackaging workshop and “O” (The Synthesis), a group exhibition of badges.

Among the many events scheduled were the specialised activities organised by AEDES (Spanish Association of Screen and Digital Printing Companies), including the presentation of its seal; AER (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Reprographic Association), with its general meeting, demos, lectures, round table discussion, and more; Aserluz, featuring the 'Environmental Obligations and Solutions in the Electric Sign Industry' conference and the specialised seminar, 'From Repro to Trans-promo. Leading the Change'.
