Alimentaria Exhibitions and the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) have signed this afternoon a new agreement to hold the Alimentaria Lisboa until 2020, with the international food expo itself, of which both are organisers, already under way. In addition to the continued organisation together of Alimentaria Lisboa, the two parties will, under the cooperation agreement, be joint hosts of Horexpo — the Salón Internacional de Hostelería, Restauración y Vending — and develop new trade-fair products both within the food industry and agricultural sector and in other spheres.

Francisco Carrió, board member and General Manager of Alimentaria Exhibitions and Reed Exhibitions Iberia, stated that today’s agreement ‘gives us the stability for us to consolidate further the achievements of the past and develop major new projects in the future’.

The cooperation agreement between Alimentaria Exhibitions and FIL was signed by Francisco Carrió; António Alfaiate, Executive Director of AIP-CE; and Javier Galiana, General Manager of FIL.

Alimentaria Lisboa is on at the FIL until 22 April. More than 36,000 experts will attend an event that will bring together approximately 2,000 brands and 1,000 companies from 48 countries, in a venue of 32,000 m² in area.
