ViscomSign 2009 will once again bring together the entire visual communication sector

For three days next October, the ViscomSign España 2009 show will bring together a highly varied selection of offerings from the visual communication sector. As a space where the many formats and materials of digital technologies converge, specialists will be able to find solutions to expand their business opportunities. In the extensive programme of very interesting seminars, workshops and visual exhibitions, there are several standouts, such as the Letra Awards, the APTDF (Spanish acronym for the Promotional Area For Technology, Design and Training) Project, and the associated and training activities developed by Aserluz (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Association of Electric Sign Businesses and Related Industries), AERCE (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Association of Purchasing and Materials Management Professionals), AEDES (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Association of Screen and Digital Printing Companies) and AER (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Reprographic Association).

22-24 October 2009, ViscomSign España will once again gather the entire visual communication solutions industry in Madrid. The 22nd edition of the specialised event will be held on this occasion in Pavilion 9 of the Institución Ferial de Madrid (Ifema) fairground. Once again, the ViscomSign show – organised by Reed Exhibitions Iberia – will enjoy the presence of leading companies working in large-format digital printing, digital printing systems for textiles and signage, outdoor advertising and signs, to mention just a few of their varied activities.

ViscomSign 2009 is a meeting place for the sector’s specialists, where they will find all expressions of visual communication. It is a space where the many formats and materials of digital technologies converge, where it will be possible to find solutions for large-format images, 3D engraving, branding, labels, stickers and new materials, raised type, advertising and lighted signs, advertising gifts, and textile decoration and printing, among other activities. All of these are high-impact applications, allowing professionals to discover different routes to expanding their business opportunities.

Many attractions for professionals

As is traditional at this annual event, during ViscomSign 2009, visitors will have access to an extensive programme of associated training and exhibition activities. Once again, the aim is to make a visit to the International Visual Communication Industry Exhibition even more attractive. The selection of events taking place during ViscomSign 2009 will make it possible to choose from among a number of options, such as the specialised activities from Aserluz (Spanish acronym for Spanish Association of Electric Sign Businesses and Related Industries) and AER (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Reprographic Association), the workshops for graphics professionals organised by CIT-AGM (Spanish acronym for the Graphic Arts Technology Centre), the Buyers’ Conference from AERCE (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Association of Purchasing and Materials Management Professionals), and the AEDES Seminar (Spanish acronym for the Spanish Association of Screen and Digital Printing Companies).

Taking advantage of the exceptional opportunity offered by ViscomSign 2009, the event will also host the tenth edition of the Letra Awards. As the National Visual Communication Awards, they are the benchmark for creativity in signs and signage for the world of Spanish graphic design. In addition, this year’s show will also include the second edition of the APTDF Project (Spanish acronym for the Promotional Area for Technology, Design and Training), a space which will once again welcome well-known organisations.

A 360º view of the business

At each of its editions, ViscomSign is attended by all the cutting-edge companies that lead the world of visual communication. Over its 22-year history, the ViscomSign show has been characterised by offering a 360º comprehensive overview of the business, in keeping with the trend in the sector. The gathering makes it possible to investigate the future as it already stands, facilitating a continuous evolution towards new market niches.

With the motto ‘The virtuous circle’, the show campaign utilizes the concept of 360º, together with associated ideas such as innovation, infinite possibilities, synergies, evolution, excitement and perfection. With obvious vision, it indicates that knowledge though technological innovation processes generates wealth and the use of this wealth feeds the creation of new knowledge. Products for every need

In order to best adapt to the technologies, materials, habits and trends which are appearing all the time, this B2B gathering has four complementary exhibition areas. This allows the professionals who attend ViscomSign to not only benefit from the products offered in this area, but also what is exhibited in the other three, taking place simultaneously. During the same three days of the event, specialists can visit the DigitalSignage, InDigital and Design&Innovation areas. In order to encourage the flow of visitors to each specialised area, the organisers will develop strategic communications activities targeting various groups of professionals.

For its part, DigitalSignage by Viscom is the space dedicated to solutions for digital and point-of-sale advertising, where it will be possible to see a wide range of new technologies and media designed to increase sales by broadcasting digital content over screens. The InDigital by Viscom area will bring together all the companies offering solutions for digital imaging centres, an emerging business model which uses professional quality equipment and systems to personalise images and produce them on demand. In the Design&Innovation by Viscom space, professionals will have access to design and innovation solutions presented by exhibitors, as well as a variety of exhibitions of interest to graphic designers and creatives.

With a total of 12,337 visits, Viscom-Sign España 2008 made it possible to discover the new products presented by 202 main exhibitors and another 279 represented brands. They came from 10 different countries and occupied a total net area of 10,662 m2 in Pavilions 12 and 14 at Ifema. In addition to being able to take advantage of the many business opportunities presented by this major digital printing and graphic design market event, during its 21st edition, visitors were able to choose from among a wide range of associated activities which allowed them to discover the latest trends in visual communication.
